Diesel Park West will release their first-ever official live album sometime in 2001. The album, to be called A House Divided: Diesel Park West Live In London 1999 is expected to include cover songs (Moby Grape, Love, Buffalo Springfield) as well as new original material.

John Butler released his second solo album on 5 February 2001. The title is Worthless Bastard Rock (UK Mystic MYS CD 145) and John promoted the album with a tour touring in March 2001, supporting Al Stewart.

Diesel Park West released a new album called Thought For Food on 4 October 2000. The album was released on the RPM/Hypertension label in Germany and the UK. The album has thirteen tracks and includes a cover version of Skip Spence's Little Hands.

Diesel Park West contributed All Come To Meet Her to the Skip Spence tribute album More Oar in 1998. Despite an all star lineup including Robert Plant and Beck, many reviewers singled out the Diesel's contribution as the standout track.
